Which formats can be converted?

PNG, JPG, WebP and BMP convert freely between each other, and you can upload several images and turn them all into one target format.

What happens to PNG transparency when converting to JPG?

JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are filled with a solid background color, usually white. Use PNG or WebP to keep transparency.

When is WebP the right choice?

WebP is usually much smaller than JPG or PNG at the same quality, which suits the web. If the receiving software is old and cannot open WebP, stick to JPG or PNG.
